SALT is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2008, and dedicated to serving Tucson and Pima County Arizona through affordable housing. SALT believes that having a safe, decent and affordable place to call home can be a key to family . SALT serves this mission by working with the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD), Pima County, the City of Tucson, and the Pima County Industrial Development Authority to convert previously foreclosed properties into affordable housing. SALT also builds houses on vacant land that can be offered for sale at extremely affordable prices. SALT works diligently to provide this housing in areas with the greatest affordable housing needs.
