WHAT WE DO

Pima IDA Bond Financing

Icon of a scroll

The Pima IDA is authorized by Arizona statutes to issue bonds to provide funds for the financing or refinancing of the costs of the acquisition, construction, improvement, rehabilitation or equipping of a project. By statute, neither Pima IDA nor Pima County lend their general credit to these bonds – instead the bonds are solely payable from the revenues of the borrower.

My realtor told me about the MCC program when I was buying my house. Every year I use it, I end up owing less money at tax time.

Affordable Housing Program

MISSION

According to the legislative history of the IDA Act, the original intent of an IDA was for economic development and housing matters. As the IDA Act’s list of projects has been expanded, so have the multiple types of bonds for these projects. However, the continued purpose of the Pima IDA is to foster affordable housing, generate economic development within Pima County and improve the standard of living for Pima County residents.
